Ahead of next week’s triple whammy of Capcom’s own Resident Evil conversions comes Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Switch 2. This is somewhat timelier, with Dark Arisen hitting other formats this week too. £44.99 gets you the base game and expansion, which is set in a snowy mountain range and features new weapons to …
The Switch 2 is in for a bunch of remasters and re-releases over the next two weeks, most of which fall into the RPG genre. Indeed, there’s quite a bit of overlap. Seeing the Kingdom Hearts franchise re-release the same day as Epic Mickey Rebrushed is certainly quite the coincidence too. How is anyone …
Even though the Switch 2 misses out on a bunch of this week’s big new releases – including CONTROL Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, Dune: Awakening, and Samson – there’s still plenty to get stuck into, even if you only have access to the original Switch. EA Sports FC 27 comes to both formats, although the …
If you’re into all things fantasy, the Switch eShop has you well and truly covered this week, with around a dozen games having a sword ‘n sorcery theme. Alternatively, there’s the early access ultimate edition of EA Sports FC 27 at £89.99, allowing you to live the fantasy of being a vastly overpaid footballer with …
Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct resulted in a trio of surprise releases, along with the GameCube’s Star Fox Adventures for NSO – the last game Rare developed for Nintendo before setting sail. Well, aside from a bunch of Nintendo DS games that Microsoft was happy to let Rare create. Star Fox Adventures ended up being divisive, gaining …
Last week gave us a cracker of a conversion in the form of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, with numerous critics smitten by how it looks and plays on the Switch 2. We aren’t quite as fortunate this week, as the fellow Souls-like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is reportedly arriving on Switch 2 with …
After being announced alongside the Switch 2 itself in 2025, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is finally out this week. It was pushed back due to performance issues such as framerate drops when things became hectic. Reportedly, the delay has paid off and it’s in a better state now than some six months ago. We’ll have …
The Switch 2 plays catch-up this week, gaining a handful of belated native conversions with performance boosts and other extras. There’s plenty of fresh stuff for both the Switch 2 and original Switch too, although more so the former. Foremost, the sixty player zombie shooter sandbox DayZ is about to shuffle onto Switch 2 via …
It’s the Switch 2 receiving the bulk of big name releases this week. The original Switch isn’t entirely forgotten, though, gaining a surprise release of THQ Nordic’s Sacred 2 Remaster – which has a modern UI, refined combat, and every expansion. While this may sound promising, critics didn’t think much of last year’s PS5/Xbox Series …
With Elden Ring, The Duskbloods, Lords of the Fallen II, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on the horizon, the Switch 2 is about to become a second home for Souls-likes. Kickstarting this trend is this week’s Lies of P: Complete Edition, which is going down well with critics, reportidly boasting smooth performance. Hopefully they aren’t …
If you’re a Xenoblade fan, no doubt 30th July will already be marked on your calendar. The physical release of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is due out today, while Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches digitally on the eShop. You’ll have to wait until 1st October for a physical release of that. …
Since appearing on the Wii U in 2015, Splatoon has become an important franchise for Nintendo. It’s no surprise to find it gaining the spin-off treatment, which is something arguably more appealing than Nintendo going through the motions to release Splatoon 4 instead. Helping to shake up the formula, the Switch 2’s Splatoon Raiders is …
The Nintendo eShop sees a slew of intriguing and enticing new titles this week. Nothing strange about that. What is curious, though, is that the vast majority are for both the Switch and Switch 2, making this a rare week where nobody is left behind…a couple of releases aside. One of these is Denshattack – …
It’s a rather RPG-centric week for new releases, and that’s despite Echoes of Aincrad skipping Switch 2 at launch. Knowing Bandai Namco, it’ll appear on the system within the next year. A good example of the publisher’s tardiness is Digimon Story Time Stranger, which this week hits both the Switch and Switch 2 after debuting …
For a second week running, we’re being treated to a new first-party release from Nintendo. While this may seem peculiarly timed, Rhythm Paradise Groove (Rhythm Heaven Groove in the US) is for the original Switch, and aimed at a different demographic than last week’s Star Fox. A slightly different demographic, at least. This is the …
