2016’s first retail releases break UK top ten

Resident Evil Origins Collection and Life is Strange both make top ten appearances this week, at #6 and #7 respectively.

The individual format chart reveals the PS4 versions of each were the biggest-selling.

We accidentally forgot to mention Life is Strange’s physical release during last week’s new release round-up, so sorry about that. You know it’s good though, right?

Call of Duty: Black Ops III meanwhile holds onto the top spot for a seventh week running. That’s followed by FIFA 16, GTA V, Rainbow Six: Siege and Star Wars Battlefront to form the UK’s top five.

Discounts on Amazon and on the high street have seemingly managed to shake up the rest of the top 40. Dishonored: Definitive Edition has risen from #32 to #10, The Evil Within is up from #29 to #16 and Terraria is back in the chart at #17. We found a copy of that last one for a mere £3.50 at Tesco.

Call of Duty’s streak could very well come to an end next Monday – this week sees the release of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

Final Fantasy Explorers, This War Of Mine: The Little Ones and Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO are all in with a shot of penetrating the top ten, too.
