Just Cause 3 off to an explosive start

Although Just Cause 3 didn’t mangage to dislodge FIFA 16, Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront from the UK chart’s top three positions, it still enjoys a week one series high with sales up 46% over Just Cause 2.

Square-Enix’s pleasingly colourful shooter is in at #4. Fallout 4 drops one position to #5 and then at #6 it’s another new entry – Rainbow Six Siege. The Xbox One version was the biggest selling.

Minecraft: Story Mode remains at #7 for a second week, GTA V drops two places to #8, popular PS4 pack-in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is at #9 and then at #10 it’s WWE 2K16.

Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza 6 all depart the top ten this week, falling to #11, #14 and #16 respectively. Microsoft can’t be too happy about that.

We doubt Nintendo are impressed with Xenoblade Chronicle X’s sales either – the well-received JRPG makes its top 40 debut at #28 while Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. has to settle for #5 in the 3DS chart.
