Fallout 4 becomes UK’s third biggest launch of 2015

Beating Fallout: New Vegas’ week one sales by a resounding 213%, Fallout 4 has shot to the top of the UK chart. In doing so it becomes the UK’s third fastest seller of the year after Black Ops III and FIFA 16.

Speaking of which, Black Ops III moves down a position to #2 – but will no doubt be king of chart land again at a later date – while FIFA 16 drops to #3.

Then at #4 it’s a new arrival – Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One. It made #5 in the individual format chart; the Xbox 360 version settled for #23.

Minecraft: Story Mode moves up to #5 to finish off this week’s UK top five. The remaining positions in the top ten then comprise of Need for Speed, Football Manager 2016, LEGO Dimensions, AC Syndicate and Halo 5: Guardians at #10.

GTA V and WWE 2K16 both departed the top ten.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void was the only other new entry, arriving at #23. We have however seen some re-entries due to price-cuts, including Gears of War: Ultimate Edition at #19 and PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall at #34.

Over in the single-format charts meanwhile Rodea The Sky Soldier made #14 in the Wii U chart while Sword Art Online: Lost Song made #2 in the PS Vita chart.
