Halo 5: Guardians claims UK chart top spot

Halo 5: Guardians has managed to dislodge Assassin’s Creed Syndicate from the top of the UK chart.

Chart-Track reports that not only did it beat AC Syndicate’s week one sales by 50%, but also Halo: Master Chief Collection (by the same amount).

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate falls to #2 with a 39% dip in sales. FIFA 16 likewise falls a single place, now at #3.

At #4 it’s a new entry – WWE 2K16, with the PS4 version outperforming the rest.

Then at #5 it’s another new arrival – Minecraft: Story Mode. The Xbox 360 version was the biggest selling, shortly followed by Xbox One.

The rest of the UK’s top ten then comprises of GTA V, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Watch_Dogs, LEGO Dimensions and LEGO Jurassic World.

Guitar Hero Live meanwhile departs the top ten after just one week, falling to #11.

Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition is the only other top 40 new arrival, debuting at #37. Shame – we’ve heard lots of positive things. Maybe going up against Halo 5 wasn’t the best idea.
