A hole in one for EA

Another week, another new number one. This time it’s EA turn with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. It’s their first golf game to head straight to the top of the chart since 2008’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. Chart-Track reports that sales figures between the two aren’t dissimilar.

F1 2015 – last week’s chart topper – falls to #2 while Batman: Arkham Knight and LEGO Jurassic World also drop a place each to #3 and #4 respectively.

Then at #5, seemingly as ever, it’s GTA V.

At #6 it’s a surprise resurgence for Destiny, up four places. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is on the rise again too, now at #7.

The Elder Scrolls Online falls from #4 to #8 this week and is followed by a new entry at #9 – God of War III: Remastered. And that’s our lot for top 40 new arrivals.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt rounds off this week’s UK top ten.

Over in the single-format charts Godzilla stomps in at #13 in the PS3 top 20 but is nowhere to be found in the PS4 chart. Meanwhile in the somewhat ambiguous Xbox 360 budget chart, Rockstar’s surprise retail release of GTA: San Andreas enters at #17.
