Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has become 2015’s first new arrival in the UK top 40, tunnelling in at #16. The official release date was last Friday but copies were available to purchase as early as before Christmas. It’s unclear if this has prevented the Wii U-exclusive from charter higher.
Sales were down across the board elsewhere. Activision has a reason to cheerful however – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has taken its 6th number one spot, which is one more than what Call of Duty: Ghosts managed.
GTA V holds fast at #2 and is followed by Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed Unity to form the UK’s top five.
LEGO Batman 3 and Minecraft: PlayStation Edition meanwhile both depart the top ten while Destiny and WWE 2K15 re-enter at #7 and #8 respectively.
The biggest faller of the week appears to be Just Dance 2015, dropping from #15 to #23. With diets in full swing – and gyms currently jam packed – we would have expected this one to have risen.
