Down, forward, punch – Capcom’s Ultra Street Fighter IV is the only new arrival in this week’s UK chart, entering at #15. Considering the content it contains was available as DLC a couple of months ago, that’s not bad going at all.
Even with sales down 55%, The Last of Us Remastered holds onto the top spot for a second week running.
Watch_Dogs and FIFA 14 follow suit, remaining at #2 and #3 respectively.
At #4 it’s Grand Theft Auto V, up from #10. Believe it or not, this is the highest chart position it has seen since October 2013. We imagine that retailers are starting to clear stock in time for the upcoming PlayStation 4/Xbox One versions.
Good old Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition finishes off the UK top five.
Moving down the top 40, The Last of Us on PlayStation 3 has made a re-appearance at #24. We never noticed it leaving, to be honest. Forza 5 Motorsport likewise re-enters this week, in this case at #27.
Recently we reported of Chart-Track’s struggle to compile a Wii top ten due to almost non-existent sales. This week the Wii full-price chart shrinks further, consisting of just four titles. The Nintendo DS full-price chart is also beginning to vanish, featuring just eight titles rather than the standard ten.
Even though there are a few more Wii games in the pipeline – including FIFA 15 and the new Skylanders – it’s highly likely that this Christmas will be its last.
