Only an idiot would doubt that FIFA 11 would take the top spot in the UK chart this week. How many copies have been sold though is really quite astonishing – 821,000 in just one weekend. In total FIFA 11 counts for 51% of all games sold in the UK last week, helping it become the 3rd fastest selling game in the UK behind Modern Warfare 2 and GTA IV. Even the PlayStation 2 version managed to do alright, coming in at #12 in the individual formats chart.
With FIFA 11 at #1, F1 2010 is now at #2, Dead Rising 2 clings onto #3, Halo: Reach at #4 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has risen from #6 to #5. The only new entry is Assassin’s Creed II: Complete Edition at #15.
Two PlayStation Move titles have dropped massively – Racket Sports and Start the Party are now at #39 and #40. two other Move titles though have risen up the ranks. Eyepet makes its first chart appearance at #38 while Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition has re-entered at #28.
