Digital gamebook collection Fighting Fantasy Classics Volume 1 comes to Switch on 5th February, developed by the Melbourne-based studio Tin Man Games.
Written by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone in the 1980s, the decision making Fighting Fantasy gamebooks were incredibly popular. Included here are The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, The Citadel of Chaos, The Forest of Doom, and Starship Traveller.
These digital remasters (of sorts) include maps, bookmarks, an adventure sheet to track stats, sound effects and an artwork gallery.
“Playing Fighting Fantasy gamebooks on a Nintendo Switch feels like a natural fit,” said Tin Man Games founder Neil Rennison. “We’re really excited to bring Ian and Steve’s beloved series to the platform,” they continued.
Fighting Fantasy Classics was originally released on Steam in 2018. Additional volumes are planned.
