Shock and war – Ghostbusters: Remastered and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint enter the top ten

None of last week’s new releases were able to topple FIFA 20 from the UK chart top spot, with the sports sim remaining no.1 for a second week.

Despite middling reviews – resulting in a 57% Metacritic – Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint debuts at #2. It’ll be interesting to see if it can stay within the top five next week.

Ghostbusters: Remastered took a respectable #6, meanwhile. GI.biz notes the PS4 version was the biggest selling, followed by Switch and then Xbox One.

Borderlands 3 and Gears 5 held onto #3 and #4 (respectively), while Link’s Awakening fell from #2 to #5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – which seemingly hasn’t left the top ten since launch – moves up to #7, presumably proving popular with new Switch Lite owners.

Positions #8, #9, and #10 are then held by the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition pack-ins Sea of Thieves, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Forza Horizon 3. This means MS has four Xbox One exclusives in the top ten for a second week running.

As for other recent releases, Dragon Quest XI S fell from #11 to #23 while Code Vein has fallen from #13 to #36. eFootball PES 2020 is struggling to stick around too, now at #29.

Elsewhere, Anthem is back at #21. The loot shooter can currently be found for around £10 at many UK retailers. Thanks to last week’s PlayStation Hits range re-release, God of War also shows up at #30. At a mere £15.99, we expected it to chart slightly higher.
