Dragon Quest Builders 2 breaks UK top five

A quiet week for new releases has resulted in the UK chart remaining stagnant.

The top four positions are unchanged, in fact. This means Super Mario Maker 2 has managed to fend off Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled for another week, with the DIY platformer package remaining no.1 and the kart racer remake at #2.

F1 2019 holds onto #3 for a third week – which we imagine Codemasters must be pleased about – while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe takes #4.

There’s a new face at #5, in the form of Square-Enix’s well-received Dragon Quest Builders 2.

GTA V stays put at #6, the recently discounted Mortal Kombat 11 rises to #7, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate drops to #8 while RDR2 falls to #9. Then at #10 it’s FIFA 19.

After enjoying a small sales boost Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey both drop out the top ten, falling to #11 and #13.

Much further down the chart, the physical release of Hollow Knight debuts at #34.

Check back next week to see how Amazon Prime Day has impacted the chart. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order stands a very good chance of breaking the top ten, too.
