UK chart sees three new entries in top five

Fast paced and focused, Bethesda’s first ever E3 conference is being heralded as a success. Now the publisher has another reason to celebrate – The Elder Scrolls Online is the UK’s new number one.

It’s the third game of 2015 to break the 100k launch week sell-through barrier, bettering Battlefield: Hardline but unable to outperform The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The individual format chart reveals that the Xbox One version managed to outsell the PS4 iteration.

LEGO Jurassic World enters at #2 and tells a similar story – it was the Xbox 360 version that came out on top, followed by PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and 3DS. The 3DS version actually managed to make the top 20.

Payday 2: Crimewave Edition also managed to penetrate the UK’s top five, arriving at #4. The PS4 version proved to be the most popular.

The Witcher 3 moves down to #3 while GTA V finishes off the top 5 at #5.

To make way for the three big hitters, as many games depart the top 10. They are Destiny, Minecraft: Xbox Edition and Project CARS.

Splatoon on the other hand – which we finally reviewed last Friday- remains in the top ten for another week, now at #8.
