The chart gets twisted

EA rules the roost this week – new entry FIFA Street is at #1, followed by Mass Effect 3, SSX and FIFA 12.

Mario Party 9 remains at #5 while RAGE has leaped back up the chart, all the way from #20 to #7.

Out of the all the titles in the top 5, four of them aren’t available to purchase at GAME. This does raise the point if we do really need a high street specialist retailer after all as people are obviously aware of the alternatives places to make a purchase.

But hang on, what’s this at #12? It’s Twisted Metal – one of the very few new titles GAME has been stocking recently, thanks to Sony lending the company their support. Would it have done as well if they weren’t stocking it? We can only speculate.

Speaking of Sony, PS Vita-exclusive Unit 13 is this week’s biggest faller dropping from #15 to #40. Unlucky for some.

In the single format charts Inzuma Eleven 2: Blizzard and Inzuma Eleven 2: Firestorm make the DS chart at #15 and #17 respectively. There’s no sign of either of the BIT. TRIP collections though, even with Amazon currently offering the Wii iteration for a rather nice £14.97.

  • The chart positions in computer game shops are available for purchase for any game publisher.

If a game is at Number 1 its because the publisher has paid for it to be number 1.

dont believe everything you see. Fifa Street is probably crap.

  • This may be the case in some shops, but these charts are from Chart-Track, a company that is very much respected for what they do.
