Greetings, Denmark!

It’s a right old boring chart this week – Purr Pals in the only new entry – so we’re going to do something different and take a peek at the top 40 in Denmark. Why Denmark? Because it’s the only other European chart – other than Irish – that Chart Track post on their site.

It’s certainly a bit different from our UK chart, with no less than four Warcraft games in the top 20 alone. Then there’s Pro Cycling Manager 2007 at #6 and two Counter-Strike games at #15 and #18. Sony’s MotorStorm is currently at #10 – compared to #33 in the UK chart – while present UK #1 Transformers: The Game is at #12 and Pokemon Diamond rests at #14 (#8 in the UK). Cars (known as ‘Biler’ in Denmark) is still selling well over there, suggesting that the film was only released there recently. Either that or all the game stores in Denmark are selling it off like they are here in England.

Does anybody know why Chart Track only keep a count of the top five Xbox 360 games in Ireland? All the other formats – even Game Boy Advance – have full top tens.
