EA Sports FC 26 remains the UK’s no.1 while Dark Souls Trilogy returns to the top ten

The first retail releases of 2026 aren’t due out until later this week – namely, Animal Crossing: New Horizons- Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon – and as such, the latest UK physical release chart (dated week ending 10th Jan) is yet another without fresh faces.

There is a slight shuffle within the top ten, though, along with re-entries further down the chart.

The top two positions remain unchanged, with EA Sports FC 26 at no.1 followed by Mario Kart World at #2. Then at #3 it’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, up from #4. Battlefield 6 also rises by one position, now at #4. Following suit, Pokémon Legends: Z-A climbs to #5.

At #6 it’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, down from #3. Minecraft rose three places to #7 while Switch stalwart Mario Kart 8 Deluxe shifted to #8.

Dark Souls Trilogy makes a surprise return at #9, which must be discounted somewhere as it’s also no.1 in the Xbox One chart and present at #2 in the PS4 chart.

The ever popular GTA V rounds off this week’s UK top ten.

EA Sports UFC 25 returned to #27, while the lower end of the top 40 sees the catchily named DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT + A NEW POWER AWAKENS SET – DAIMA EDITION re-enter, along with the often discounted Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered and It Takes Two.

In the single format charts, Elden Ring holds onto no.1 on PC, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 tops the PS5 chart, EA Sports FC 26 remains no.1 on Switch, PS4 and Xbox Series, while Stella Glow rules the roost in the long running 3DS chart – a top three this week, no less.
