Considering we’re barely a week into January, a surprising number of new releases are lined up for your perusal.
tinyBuild’s cosy rooftop settlement builder I Am Future is about to arrive on all three console formats, currently boasting ‘mostly positive’ reviews on Steam. Set in a flooded city, it involves fishing, farming, tinkering and more.
Bunny Rampage: History of Revenge looks like a fun time, too, being a third-person shooter starring a gun-totting stuffed toy. Think along the lines of Squirrel with a Gun and Gori Cuddly Carnage.
eastasiasoft meanwhile starts 2026 with a top-down puzzler – Gridz Keeper involves powering up an electrical grid to keep zombies at bay, flicking switches and such. Kemco are back too with their latest RPG Hero Seekers, which will offer dungeon crawling, party management and turn based battles. It should please fans of older RPGs due to featuring many traditional ideas.

Then on PS5 there’s Code Violet, a third-person survival game with puzzles, inventory management, and prehistoric creatures to battle. It appears to have generated a minor buzz, with the trailer having over 300k views. The last-minute delays it has received aren’t too encouraging though. It was originally due out last month.
Over on Xbox we can expect Owlen and the Spirits of the Past – a flight/combat game similar to the developer’s past works – and S.P.E.A.R, a promising action game set in a glitch-ridden world.
Vertical shooter Sonic Wings Reunion was originally lined up for a retail release on PS5 and Switch this week, but it appears to have been pushed back until later in the month. We didn’t think too much of it when it launched digitally late last year and it doesn’t seem to have gained any significant updates since.
