Bristol based Auroch Digital, creators of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, are turning their attention to another licensed property for their second retro-style FPS: the sci-fi movie franchise Starship Troopers. Yes, it was a franchise – they ended up making three(!) sequels.

Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! is set 25 years after the film and follows war veteran Samantha Dietz as she recalls events of the first bug war while attempting to flush out the assassin bug.
You’ll have access to 14 weapons, 11 tactical supports, and a mech unit. Visuals will feature pixel art textures to hammer home the retro feel.
Anti-bug combat training exercises will also see you play from the perspective of a bug.
Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! will be gunning for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC in 2026.
