Capcom has set a 22nd July release date for the heavily rumoured, and now confirmed, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. As per the first Arcade Stadium, it’s a free download where additional titles can be purchased, allowing for a bespoke collection.
1984’s SONSON will be this collection’s freebie, while those who pre-order or purchase Capcom Fighting Collection before 30th Sept will receive Three Wonders – a three-game package.
Returning players will also receive new menu lights and sounds, plus instruction card backgrounds. Additionally, Street Fighter II is currently free in the original CAS until 21st July, just to tempt you back.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium will feature online leaderboards, display settings, difficulty and speed options, a ten-second rewind tool, and an invincibility mode – as free DLC.

It’s a shame they couldn’t find a way to include Alien vs. Predator, the highlight of the 2019 Capcom Home Arcade plug ‘n play. Presumably, the rights have already expired.
