Despite microtransactions being snuck into Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the colourful kart racer has managed to reclaim the UK chart top spot.
Super Mario Maker 2 moved up to #2, while fellow kart racer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also enjoyed a sales boost, going from #7 to #3.
Where’s Team Sonic Racing, you ask? Not even in the top 40 is the answer.
At #4 it’s FIFA 19, followed by the ever-popular GTA V at #5.
After leaving the top ten last week, F1 2019 is back at #6, up from #11.
Finally at #7, we find last week’s chart-topper – Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Red Dead Redemption 2 climbed seven positions to take #8, Minecraft – the Switch version, we believe – took #9, while Super Smash Bros. Ultimate dropped one position, taking #10.
Madden NFL 20 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood both had bad weeks – EA’s sports sim has left the top ten already, falling to #12. Youngblood, meanwhile, has fallen all the way from #8 to #22.
There were no new entries in the entire top 40, which means Koch’s tactical turn-based battler Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a no-show. This week is looking light on physical releases too, so don’t expect the UK chart to be a hubbub of activity next Monday either.
