Fire Emblem: Three Houses sets UK chart ablaze

Surprise! Nintendo Switch exclusive Fire Emblem: Three Houses is this week’s UK no.1, fending off competition from the multi-format Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

Bethesda’s co-op shooter was forced to settle for #2. Digital sales may tell a different story – we imagine it has ‘done the biz’ on PSN, the Nintendo eShop, and the Xbox One Store.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled – last week’s chart topper – fell to #3. Super Mario Maker 2 also dropped one position to #4.

Despite FIFA 20 being just around the corner, FIFA 19 remains in the top five for another week, albeit at #5. The soccer sim has been slashed to £10 at most supermarkets across the country.

At #6 it’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, down from #2 during its second week on sale.

GTA V re-enters the top ten at #7, fellow chart stalwart Mario Kart 8 is at #8, F1 2019 dropped one position to #9, and then at #10 it’s Red Dead Redemption 2.

Anime tie-in Kill La Kill – IF was the only other new arrival, quietly sneaking in at #40.
