Crash Bandicoot barges his way to the top of the chart

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled had no trouble topping the UK chart, becoming the third fastest selling game of 2019 after Days Gone and Resident Evil 2.

It’s also the second fastest selling Crash Bandicoot title after the N. Sane Trilogy.

Unsurprisingly, the PS4 version proved the most popular. The Switch version was the second biggest selling, with the Xbox One iteration trailing behind. All three versions topped their respective individual format charts too.

CTR wasn’t the only new entry in the UK chart – Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night made #17, with the PS4 version taking a whopping 81% of sales. The Switch version isn’t due for release until Friday, so it may catch a second wind next week.

Last week’s chart topper FIFA 19 fell to #2, Forza Horizon 4 moved up to #3, Days Gone dropped from #2 to #4, while Red Dead Redemption 2 held onto #5.

Battlefield V also remained at #6 for a second week running. Good old GTA V moved up to #7, then at #8 it’s the return of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 make a top ten re-appearance at #9, up from #24. We put this down to the recent Xbox One free play weekend. Finally, EA’s Anthem sees us out at #10.
