Sony’s Days of Play sale propels FIFA 19 back to no.1

Despite FIFA 20 being officially announced over the weekend, it’s FIFA 19 that claims the UK chart top spot this week, all thanks to Sony’s current Days of Play sale.

The event sees several first-party games reduced at retailers, along with reductions on select hardware. This includes PS4 bundles with FIFA 19 as a pack-in.

Days Gone rises to #2, up from #4. Marvel’s Spider-Man also climbed back into the top ten, going from #15 to #3. Red Dead Redemption 2 rose to #4, and then at #5 we find last week’s chart-topper – the PSVR hit Blood & Truth.

GTA V took #6, Team Sonic Racer fell from #3 to #7 outselling Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at #8, while Mortal Kombat 11 climbed to #9.

At #10 it’s another PS4 re-entry – PlayStation VR Worlds. It seems a fair few PSVR headsets were sold last week as Astro Bot is back at #17 while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR and DOOM VFR claimed #23 and #24.

Wipeout: Omega Collection and God of War also re-surfaced at #21 and #30.

As for new entries, the 3DS’s swansong Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth made a respectable #18. MotoGP 19 wasn’t far behind at #20.

After entering at #6 last week Cricket 19 falls to #22. Little Friends: Cats & Dogs on Switch has vanished from the top 40 entirely, meanwhile.
