Famitsu has awarded Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol on DS a rather handsome 31/40, which is good news – oh yes! – as the GameCube mini-robo romp was just about the loveliest thing ever.

Chibi-RoboThe recently updated Japanese website features a list of the new characters that Chibi will encounter on his mission to spread love and happiness, which include a duo of snowboarding penguins and some scary looking goth chaps with black eyeliner. The yolk folk appear to be the old characters making a comeback. Elsewhere on the site there’s a brief glimpse of how the touch screen will be used to make Chibi dance and spray water.

It’s due out in Japan on 5th July, meaning we’ll probably see it around Christmas, or knowing Nintendo Europe, Easter 2008.
