F1 22 claims UK chart top spot while MX vs ATV Legends stalls

F1 22 – published by EA and developed by Codemasters – is the latest no.1 in the all-formats retail chart.

It also managed to take pole position in the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series charts, giving it no.1s across the board. Launching during summer has really benefited the series the past few years.

THQ Nordic’s offroad racer MX vs ATV Legends missed out entirely on a top 40 placing, only managing to make #9 in the Xbox Series X chart. A lack of press coverage might be to blame. Rabbids: Party of Legends was another no-show.

PS5 pack-in Horizon Forbidden West held onto #2, while Nintendo Switch Sports – no.1 in the Switch chart currently – moved up to #3.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga also climbed to #4.

At #5 it’s the evergreen Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, down one place.

FIFA 22 rose from #11 to #6 with a price cut seemingly to thank. Fellow footie game Mario Strikers dropped from #3 to #7.

Following suit, Pokémon Legends Arceus, Minecraft, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons all slid down the top ten to take positions #8 through to #10.

After taking the top spot last Monday, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes had a turbulent second week on sale, falling to #14. The Quarry, meanwhile, is on the rise – up from #21 to #15. Rock on.
