Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes slashes its way to no.1

A new week, a new UK no.1. Nintendo’s musou spin-off Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes takes the top spot in the all-formats retail chart, causing the PS5 pack-in Horizon Forbidden West to fall to #2.

Three Hopes isn’t the only new Switch release in the chart – THQ Nordic’s Wreckfest made #35.

Mario Strikers: Battle League Football continues to sell well, holding onto #3.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe moved up to #4, while LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga dropped to #5.

Nintendo Switch Sports also fell, going from #4 to #6. Pokémon Legends: Arecus – a game that has barely left the top ten since launch in January –  is at #7, Minecraft holds onto #8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons re-enters the top ten at #9, and then at #10 it’s GTA V.

FIFA 22, Gran Turismo 7, and The Quarry departed the top ten, meanwhile, with The Quarry tumbling from #7 to #21. Sniper Elite 5 has been more fortunate, still yet to leave the top 20 – it’s at #18 this week, a small descent from #14.
