Pine, Decay of Logos, Trover Saves the Universe, and the entire Five Nights at Freddy’s series arrive on Switch

After a false start back in August, Decay of Logos has made a belated eShop appearance. The RPG received a last-minute delay on Switch due to requiring additional development time. But while this may sound admirable, Nintendo Life claims it still isn’t ready for release.

“The world that Amplify Creations has created here does occasionally feel like it could be an interesting and worthwhile place to explore, but there are just far too many bugs and problems that get in the way of you settling down to enjoy this game in any way whatsoever,” they said before handing out a miserable 3/10.

It also sounds like the explorative adventure Pine needed a longer gestation period, suffering from atrocious performance.

Screen Rant painted a very bleak picture, resulting in a 1/5 review score. “Pine has a few core ideas so interesting that they mostly make up for its lackluster combat and dull quests. Even its best aspects are limited, though, and nothing would make up for the glaring technical issues that render it borderline unplayable at times,” they said.

Metacritic user reviews are equally poor, currently standing at 2.4. Ouch!

The Switch also receives a few belated conversions. Oddball adventure Trover Saves the Universe, from the minds of Rick & Morty, makes the jump from PS4. Then there’s Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, a narrative-driven experience set during the Great Depression-era.

Electronic Super Joy was originally released on Wii U, meanwhile, and apparently stacks up well on Switch. “Packing in all the DLC content, Electronic Super Joy has a ton to offer gamers who don’t shy away from challenging platformers,” said Switch Player.

If you’ve ever been curious about indie hit Five Nights at Freddy’s, then you’re in luck – all four titles are now on the eShop, priced £6.29 each. Shame there isn’t a discounted bundle available.

Other new releases for this week include horror romp TheNightfall, Fighting Fantasy collection Deathtrap Dungeon Trilogy, 1950’s comic book mystery BLACKSAD: Under the Skin, and the arena brawler Story of a Gladiator.
