Sony’s ‘Days of Play’ sale continues to seize UK top ten

Last week wasn’t exactly one for the ages when it came to new release. Thankfully, Sony’s ‘Day of Play’ sale has given us something to talk about.

FIFA 19 is the UK’s no.1 for a second week running, not just due to a price cut but also thanks to discounted PlayStation 4 FIFA 19 console bundles.

Days Gone remains at #2 for a second week too. That’s followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man at #3, which can currently be found for around £25.

All change at #4 – it’s Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 4, up from #12. We put this down to a mixture of a price drop to £19.99 at Amazon, the arrival of the LEGO Speed Champions DLC, and increased Xbox One hardware sales.

Red Dead Redemption 2 fell to #5, while Battlefield V rose from #11 to #6.

At #7 it’s the first of two PSVR titles – PlayStation VR Worlds, up from #10.

EA’s Anthem makes a surprise appearance at #8, GTA V drops to #9, and then at #10 it’s the second PSVR exclusive – Blood & Truth.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mortal Kombat 11 and Team Sonic Racing departed the top ten, although they’re still resting within the top 20. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will no doubt return in the coming weeks. The other two? It’s hard to say. A price drop would certainly help MK11.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will no doubt effortlessly cruise into pole position next week. Bloodstained Ritual of The Night stands a good chance of breaking the top ten, too.
