Vampyr tops UK chart while Onrush stalls

Dontnod’s Vampyr has given long-running publisher Focus Interactive their first ever UK no.1.

It’s also the third new IP to take the UK chart top spot, following Detroit: Become Human and Sea of Thieves.

Speaking of new IP, it’s bad news for Codemasters – Onrush has debuted at a lowly #34, despite positive reviews. It’s also bad news for Nintendo as the well-received Sushi Striker failed to make the top 40 entirely.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset made #26, meanwhile.

Going back to the top ten, FIFA 18 drops to #2 while God of War rises to #3. The difference in sales between Vampyr and FIFA 18 was apparently slim.

Detroit: Become Human fell two places to take #4. Far Cry 5 dropped to #5.

At #6 it’s Fallout 4, up from #10. Bethesda’s ever-popular RPG can easily be found for £10 (or less) nowadays.

Game Pass poster boy State of Decay 2 remains at #7.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and GTA V both re-enter the top ten at #8 and #9. Then at #10 it’s Overwatch: GOTY Edition.

SEGA Mega Drive Classics – which we reviewed last week – departs the top ten after just one week on sale, falling to #11. Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary had a rougher second week, going from #6 to #19.

New release MotoGP 18 also made the top 40, albeit at #40.
