Dreaming of a black Christmas

FIFA 16, Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront continue to play musical chairs with the UK chart’s top spot. Activision can rest and put their feet up this week as it’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s turn.

They shouldn’t get too comfortable though. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens just days away, Star Wars Battlefront – currently at #2 – could very well become the UK’s Christmas number one.

We’re hoping that Fallout 4 is still in with a chance. With a last minute marketing blitz and a price drop at GAME, it could potentially come out on top. We’re speaking from experience here, as this is what helped The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim claim Christmas number one back in 2011.

Last week’s chart topper FIFA 16 falls to #3. Fallout 4 moves up to #4 while Minecraft: Story Mode rises to #5.

At #6 it’s recent new release Just Cause 3. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate sees a sales boost, up from #12 to #7. GTA V holds fast at #8, Rainbow Six: Siege falls from #6 to #9 and then at #10 it’s WWE 2K16.

There were no new entries this week. We did however see a few LEGO games re-enter at the lower end of the top 40, along with the surprisingly good Adventure Time: Finn & Jake Investigations.
