[Updated] Out this week: Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition and a fat lot of nothing

As our round-up of January’s new releases showed, this month is a surprisingly busy one. The likes of Dying Light, Saints Row IV Re-elected and Raven’s Cry aren’t due out until the end of the month however, and as such this week is almost a non-event.

Almost. See, there is at least one new arrival – Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition on PS3 and PS Vita. What we have here is Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition with improved visuals, PlayStation Trophies and whatnot, bolstered with the Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach, Duke It Out in DC and Duke: Nuclear Winter add-ons.

It’s available on PSN now for £7.99, or at a cost of precisely nothing for PS Plus subscribers. For this you have a ménage à trois of Devolver Digital, Abstraction Games and General Arcade to thank.

Next week looks a tad more interesting, featuring Joe Danger 2: The Movie on PS Vita, retail releases of Mario & Donkey Kong and Nintendo Pocket Football Club on 3DS, Namco’s three-strong PS3 fighting game collection entitled “Fighting Edition” and Activision’s TV show tie-in Duck Dynasty on Xbox 360. Quack!

[Update] Colourful side-scrolling platformer Funk of Titans appeared on the Xbox One store at the stroke of midnight, priced at £9.99. “Run across the ancient greek mythology, risk your life jumping over crazy platforms, collect funk vinyls, beat enemies, wear epic costumes, ride the legendary Pegasus and smash the rap, the pop and the rock of the evil Musical Titans in fierce dance battles,” reads the description.
