Just like last week, only two new arrivals are hitting the Nintendo eShops this week – one each for Wii U and 3DS.
Wii Fit U will be available from 1st Feb for £29.99 while virtual pet thing Brilliant Hamsters! gnaws its way onto 3DS this Thursday for £9.99. There’s a video of the finger nipping menaces in action over on Nintendo’s website, along with a handful of unbearably cute screenshots.
With the new releases out of the way, we’re free to focus on an upcoming indie sale that should be of interest to some.
The ‘Super Indie Connection Sale‘ sees five Wii U indie developers come together to offer some sizeable discounts on one another’s titles until 13th Feb.
If you buy (or already own) one of the five following games, a 60% discount can be had on a different game in the offer. Those five are: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, BIT.TRIP Presents…Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party and Toki Tori 2 +.
All of these were very well received upon release with Twisted Dreams in particular being something of a hidden gem.
It’s also worth us pointing out that the better-than-you-may-expect Spin the Bottle is due to receive some free DLC in time for Valentine’s Day. Hubba hubba.
Both the Wii U and 3DS iterations of Capcom’s Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate are being reduced from Thursday as well, in line to be cut to £29.99 and £23.99 respectively. Although this may not seem a huge discount, both do in fact sell for more than this second hand and are starting to become hard to find on the high street.
Oddly, there are no Virtual Console releases planned for this week. We can’t even remember the last time this happened.
