“Fix-It Felix kill screen coming up”

Due to the lengthy delay between the US and UK cinema releases of Wreck-It Ralph, we aren’t going to be seeing the wrecking giant on DVD and Blu-Ray for a little while yet.

This isn’t the case in the US though, where the movie is about to receive its home release.

In celebration, Disney has uploaded a 27-minute-long spoof documentary ‘Garlan Hulse: Where Potential Lives’. It’s a parody of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters – the sleeper hit that sees two die-hard Donkey Kong fans attempt to beat the world record, with some not-so-friendly rivalry along the way.

Disney’s short is very well observed, and well worth a watch:

If you haven’t seen Wreck-It Ralph yet then worry not – it’s still being shown in the UK.

Don’t blame us though if the only way to see it is a Saturday morning matinee packed with hyperactive sugar-fuelled kids.
