Could CRUSH3D be your new love?

In January the gaming industry is too bloated from high-calorie Christmas treats to be able to push any new games out of the proverbial door. All part from a few publishers, that is.

Step forward Sega and Easy Interactive, who are this week releasing CRUSH3D on 3DS and Heroes of Hellas 2: Olympia on DS.

CRUSH3D is a new-fangled version of the cult-classic PSP puzzler CRUSH. There’s a new hero and the fact that it involves flattening and expanding landscapes to change them from 2D to 3D works very well on the 3DS. Nintendo Gamer awarded it 83% in their review.

Heroes of Hellas 2: Olympia is yet another gem matching puzzler. Easy Interactive has already released a few of these – we wouldn’t be surprised if it recycled an old game engine. It’s £13.99 on Play if you don’t mind paying out for something that probably doesn’t have an ounce of originality. Or you could wait for the next one – something called Jewel Match 2 is out early February.

Next week: Reel Fishing Paradise 3D (3DS), Winter Sports 2012: Feel The Spirit (Wii, 3DS) and Ski-Doo: Snowmobile Challenge (PS3).
