Summer loving, happened so fast

It’s not often we see sale figures for Xbox Live Arcade games, but Gamasutra has managed to sniff out what title came out tops in Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade promotion.

Even though it was the final game to be released, Toy Soldiers: Cold War came out on top with 160,734 copies.

Fruit Ninja Kinect provided a good reason for people to dust off their Kinect and sold 148,507 copies, even though the iOS version sells for literally pence. It is a very good version of the game, mind, with more depth than you may think.

RPG Bastion wasn’t far off from the fruit slashing sim with 146,401 copies.

Gamasutra aren’t too certain how many people purchased From Dust, but suggest it’s around 96,000 going by the amount of players on the leaderboard.

This leaves us with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, which ranks in at the poorest performing with 48,389.

This week on Xbox Live Arcade sees the release of Radiant Silvergun and Sega’s Renegade Ops for 1,200 MSP a piece while Konami’s Red Bull X-Fighters will set you back 800 MSP.
