The pickings are slim this week but that’s not necessary a bad thing – it gives our fingers a chance to rest before next week’s E3 news explosion.
Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is the ‘big’ release. Nobody was allowed to review it until today; Eurogamer are the first off the bat with a not too shabby 7/10. “[But] those who can overlook Hunted’s design shortfalls and occasionally tepid fantasy backdrop will extract a good few hours of fun slashing and exploring before something better comes along,†they said.
Just two other games are out – one on DS and one on 3DS. The former gets Hollywood Files: Deadly Intrigues (not to be confused with Ubisoft’s upcoming James Noir’s Hollywood Crimes) while the latter gets Sports Island 3D courtesy of Konami. The line-up of sports sounds pleasingly varied including sumo wrestling, snowball fighting and trampolining. Fact: our spell checker doesn’t like the word trampolining.
Next week: Infamous 2, Red Faction: Armageddon, Duke Nukem Forever, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, Emily the Strange, White Knight Chronicles: Origins and Kung Fu Panda 2.
