Super sequel LittleBigPlanet 2 has managed to take the top spot of the all formats chart this week. Shoving Call of Duty: Black Ops off the top must surely feel like an achievement for Media Molecule. Or should that say ‘like a trophy’? Probably not, as that wouldn’t make much sense.
With the bleated PlayStation 3 version now out, Mass Effect 2 works its way back up to #7. I thought that the Xbox 360 version may be on the rise thanks to the extra press coverage Mass Effect 2 has gained recently but this isn’t the case – it was at #3 in the Xbox 360 budget chart last week and it’s now down to #9.
DC Universe Online made a strong appearance last week at #10 but it’s had a bad second week dropping to #22. There are still very few reviews online so I think Sony Online only have themselves to blame. How are people meant to know about it if they don’t send out review code in good time? Or at all?
Lastly, Square-Enix’s Mindjack has had a very dismal launch. Not only has it failed to make it into the top 40, it’s also nowhere to be seen in any of the top 40 single format charts.
