Doing the can-can

I revisited the American candy (sorry, sweet) shop in town yesterday and found that they have new stock of videogame themed energy drinks. On my last visit I brought a can of Street Fighter Dragon Punch and saw a Resident Evil T-Virus energy drink.

This time I brought a can of Pac-Man Power Up, which was red in colour and didn’t taste of anything specific. It did taste nicer than Red Bull though. Does anybody actually drink Red Bull because they think it tastes nice?

They also had a can of Gears of War Emulsion and a Mega Man E-Tank drink, featuring Mega Man pixel art. Oddly, in-between these two was an Elvis energy drink.

I wonder if it was all shook up?

  • I don’t even think of Red Bull as a drink. It’s a brand, and moreover in my world, a Formula 1 team.

  • Oh Jake :(

I always think it feels wrong when Red Bull Racing win a race. They’re like a novelty team built on a big advert. Get to the back of the grid!
