UK Charts
So, Tony Hawk: Ride hasn’t managed to get into the top 40 chart this week. This could be down to a number of things – mediocre reviews, a high price tag and a lack of promotion. Mr. Hawk has been swift to come to defend it on his Twitter page, saying that “most snarky critics had their minds set before ever seeing/playing the game†but it looks like the public have made their minds up already. Mind you, a hefty price drop could see it chart eventually.
He shouldn’t feel too bad as Ubisoft’s Avatar tie-in hasn’t made it into the top 40 yet either. I am actually quite surprised about this. It makes it into the single formats though – #19 in the PlayStation 3 chart and #21 in the Xbox 360 chart.
The top 5 all formats remains unchanged – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at #1 followed by FIFA 10, Assassin’s Creed II, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports Resort. Lego Indiana Jones 2 is up from #12 to #8 but Left 4 Dead 2 has gone from #8 to #14. Just Dance and The Saboteur are this week’s new entries but it’s the former that has charted higher than the latter – Just Dance is at #30 and The Saboteur at a very poor #39.
