This Week’s Games
Now here’s something that hasn’t happened for a long time – the PSP is the console with the most new releases out this week. Three of them are worth a look too: Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny have been getting glowing reviews while IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey (also out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and – bizarrely – DS) has been called the best console flight sim ever.
This leaves us with Metroid Prime Trilogy and Cursed Mountain on Wii (the former very good, the latter not so good) and System 3’s Supercar Challenge on PlayStation 3.
I’m also going to give Oktoberfest on DS a mention. A whole paragraph, in fact. It’s based on an event held in Munich every year and, according to the product description features a “grand total of six fun and exciting mini games will help you transform yourself from a regular tourist to a proper Bavarian!â€
Amazing.
