You can’t get the staff these days

This Week’s Games

It’s a bit odd that the first game to use the Wii MotionPlus is a third party title, but then again EA and Nintendo are on very good terms at the moment. The device on it’s own will set you back £19.99, or you can get it with EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis for £44.99.

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is out this week too, and on a bizarre array of consoles – Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, PSP and DS. The first batch of screenshots released for it looked very ropey and a lack of reviews is worrying. Also out on Wii this week – Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball. With a bit of luck they’ll do Tramps Vs French Maids Badminton next.

Protoype is the biggest game out though and it’s also one of the few games that Activision kept hold off when merging with Vivendi. Eurogamer gave it a 7, but GamesRadar liked it a whole lot more and awarded it a 9. In short: the boss battles are incredibly tough and the controls are a bit fiddly but running riot in the city is great fun.

Next week: Ghostbusters, Let’s Tap, MySims Racing and Hail to the Chimp.
