This Week’s Games
The DSi hits shelves this week at a rather pricey £149.99. Many high street stores will let you have one for half price if you trade in your DS Lite though. You’d think that Nintendo would have a big new release to go alongside it, right? Wrong – there’s just a handful of obscure third-party releases including Lux Pain, Disgaea and Valkyrie Profile. Not quite the games that Phil and Fern themselves would play. Or the Rednapps.
If you’re into all things stealthy and ninja-like you’re well looked after with Ninja Blade on Xbox 360 and Tenchu: Shadow Assassins on both Wii and PSP out this week too. Eurogamer gave Ninja Blade a 7, calling it a “Panto Ninja Gaidenâ€. Tenchu: Shadow Assassins features a ninja cat, and that’s all you need to know.
There isn’t a great deal else out, just the belated Wanted: Weapons of Fate movie licensed shooter and WSC Real 2009: World Snooker Championship on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The latter is probably quite good if you like that type of thing.
Next week: The Godfather II, Ultimate Band, We Rock and Away: Shuffle Dungeon.
