The scariest day possible

This Week’s Games

It’s Friday the 13th, the scariest day possible. So what do we have released today? Hotel for Dogs, Disney’s Bolt, Ben 10 and Petz. Though admittedly they’re all on DS, hardly the format of choice for developers trying to scare people.

FEAR 2: Project Origin sounds more appropriate. Unless I’m completely out of touch – a possibility, of course – it’s bound to do quite a lot in the chart next week, and hasn’t been going down badly critically either.

ShellShock 2: Blood Trails – sequel to the mediocre ‘Nam 67 – has been suspiciously without reviews, so it’s bound to be great. Destroy All Humans: Path of The Furon has been reviewed, and widely hated. It’s a shame, that, because the original showed promise.

Possibly the most Friday the 13th game, though, is House of the Dead: Overkill for Wii. Happily, it’s supposed to be ruddy good stuff.

There’s quite a lot of other guff around this week, but you can have a look at for yourself. Then use the comments to berate me for not mentioning games you think I should have mentioned. Don’t have nightmares.

Jake

Jake has been here since the beginning, with hundreds of reviews and countless other guff to his name. These days, not so consistent.

  • ShellShock 2: Blood Trails is about as good as hoped, a fantastical 2/10 rating from Eurogamer.

  • My all time favourite as well! Let’s look fowrrad to some madness we all need some! Looking fowrrad to seeing what you make of Mab’s Welsh Dragon!
