Chart Track are good are providing interesting statistical snippets, such as pointing out that Mario Kart Wii – which has gone to the top of the chart this week – has managed a launch bigger than all five of the other Mario Wii games combined. There are also four Mario games in this week’s top 40, while they claim that 21.2% of all Wii games sold since December 2006 feature the plump plumber.
Elsewhere: Mario Kart DS is back in at #30 while Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 also makes a reappearance at #32. Dark Sector still misses out of a top 10 position, hanging around at #13 while Sega’s Viking: Battle for Asgard has dropped from #7 to #16.
The DS chart makes for depressing reading. Imagine: Babies? Solitaire: Ultimate Collection? Bunnyz? Tigerz? Baby Pals? Hannah Montana? Imagine: Happy Cooking? Christ on a moped… sort it out!
