When armour-plated polar bears attack

For a second week running Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been sold out across the country, which explains why – again for the second week running – it’s no longer in the chart. FIFA 08 is back on top though, knocking former #1 Assassin’s Creed to #4. The Golden Compass has moved up from #10 to #7, so Sega are probably happy about that.

Aside from Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree re-entering the chart at #25, there’s a distinct lack of action in the top 40. There are a few things going on in the single format charts though, like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire going in at #14 in the DS chart – just one place lower than the Deal or No Deal game – while in the PSP chart the system-exclusive Wipeout Pulse has managed to creep in at #20. In the Wii chart Rayman Raving Rabbids is at #27 followed by its sequel at #28. I guess people are opting for the first one as it has been reduced in the sales.

See, we’re really struggling to find some exciting chart action here. Shouldn’t be this way for long though: NiGHTS, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Burnout Paradise, Zack & Wiki and Ghost Squad are all due out before the end of the month.
