Money for old pixels

Sega have had a rummage through their back catalogue and have decided to dust off a couple of old classics.

House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return is set to follow in the footsteps of Ghost Squad on Wii, in that it’ll be billed as a Wii Zapper title. Going by the screenshots, House of the Dead 2 has had its pixelated textures smoothed over, but not to much success, while 3 – which was only released on Xbox – has had its visuals downgraded but looks a tad smoother. It’s due in spring 2008.

The other classic? Famitsu have reported that the original NiGHTS into Dreams is being revamped for PlayStation 2 with a budget price to boot. It’s not clear if it’s part of the Sega AGES range, but we hope not – most of these haven’t made it into Europe. Burning Rangers next please, Sega!
