Tic Tacs – fresh breath in less than two calories

After last week’s chaotic release schedule things have calmed down somewhat this week, with Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions on PSP being the only highlight. Both EDGE and Eurogamer gave it a 9, with the latter claiming it to be “Gorgeous, complex, well-written and beautifully presented”.

There’s a couple of CSI games out for fans of the show though – CSI 3: Dimension of Murder on PlayStation 2 and CSI: Hard Evidence on Xbox 360. Bizarrely it’s Hard Evidence that’s coming to Wii later in the year. Elsewhere EA’s yearly sporting influx continues with Madden 08 on PlayStation 3 and Tiger Woods 08 and NBA Live 08 on PSP.

Glory Days 2 on DS is another game suffering from chronic box-art syndrome – they’ve actually used this art for the press adverts too – and we’re sure that Virgin could have done better with the box-art for the on-rails shooter Dead n Furious. If you’re after a new DS game then go import Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol and/or Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. They’re both out now in the US and will cost you less than the UK releases too.

Next week looks better – Project Gotham Racing 4, Crash of the Titans and Star Wars: Renegade Squadron are all due.
