In true licensed tat fashion, Ubisoft’s Surf’s Up is being released on every format going. Apparently the SNES version is prettier than the Mega Drive one as the SNES has a pallet of 32,768 colours compared to the Mega Drive’s 512. However, the SNES version costs a tenner more. But seriously: in the US it’s even being released on the GameCube and original Xbox.
Mario Party 8 is back on shelves this week too – it was withdrawn because of the use of the word ‘spastic’. Koei’s RPG Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm on PlayStation 2 and the brain bending Practical IQ on PSP are also out, in addition to The Settlers on DS, which is a Game-exclusive for some reason. The Amiga and PC Settlers games were pretty good – think along the lines of a cute Age of Empires – so we’ll go out on a limb and say it’s worth a look.
