Peter Moore’s only gone and left Microsoft, hasn’t he? The former Sega man – who will therefore always be of interest to me – is moving to EA, heading up the EA Sports Label. Moore worked for Reebok at one point, so he’s got all the requisite experience. Probably.
Don Mattrick – once an EA man, coincidentally – will replace Moore as Microsoft’s bod in charge of Interactive Entertainment Business, which is a stupid way of saying Xbox and Games for Windows.
Back at EA, meanwhile, Moore’s appointment completes the move to four labels: EA Games, EA Sports, EA Casual Entertainment and The Sims. Which, if nothing else, tells us that we’ve got a hell of a lot more Sims games to come.
