New PSP: the same but smaller

Its official: Sony have a new model PSP on the way, due worldwide in September. And no, it doesn’t feature two screens. You can connect it up to a TV to play games and watch UMD movies on a somewhat bigger screen though.

New PSPThe new model – which as you can see looks exactly the same – will be 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer, boast a better battery life and load games faster. ‘Ice Silver’, ‘Piano Black’ and ‘Ceramic White’ are the colours.

A Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron pack will contain a special Darth Vader silk-screen ‘Ceramic White’ PSP. Americans can also look forward to a pack containing Daxter, a 1GB memory stick and a Family Guy UMD for a nice $199.

We’ll probably end up with MediEvil, a 32MB memory stick and a Fawlty Towers UMD for £200. Joke!
